Special-issue stamps themed after manga by Osamu Tezuka, a representative manga artist of Japan, are now available for pre-order.
Post offices and their respective online shops throughout Japan have begun accepting pre-orders for “Osamu Tezuka’s Work Anniversary Frame Stamp Sets.”
The stamp sets are official products created in commemoration of the anniversary of three representative works from Osamu Tezuka, a pioneer in the world of Japanese anime whose many works have left a mark on the world. Three varieties will be available: Astro Boy 50th Anniversary, Princess Knight 60th Anniversary, and Black Jack 40th Anniversary. Each set is enclosed in a respective stamp case. Also included is a special postcard and letter set complete with stationary, envelopes, and a seal set. As a present, a special A4-size, extra-large original postcard will be given to those who purchase all three.
The stamps will ship on June 3. Tezuka fans should definitely try to get a set of their own!
