Japanese snack maker Tohato has released limited-edition versions of its caramel corn snack that feature characters drawn by manga artists Noboru Kawasaki, Yudetamago, and Tetsuya Chiba.
This marks the third time the company has held this kind of collaborative promotion. In the past, characters from leading manga creators such as Fujio Akatsuka, Rumiko Takahashi, and Tezuka Productions have adorned Tohato packages.
This time around, each of the packages featuring characters from the three manga artists stand out in their uniqueness. The packages that bring to mind Hoshi Hyuuma from the baseball manga Star of the Giants, Kinnikuman from the pro wrestling battle manga Kinnikuman, and Joe Yabuki from the boxing manga Ashita no Joe will surely grab the public’s attention.
Each of these three types of caramel corn are triple-sized “Huge! Triple Caramel Corn” products, and these packages have been specially drawn for them.
The snacks cost around 130 yen, and they are now being sold across Japan as the company’s area of sales expands.
