Attention Bronies! “My Little Pony” to Begin Broadcasting This April in Japan!

At Anime Contents Expo 2013 in March, the Bushiroad Booth displayed the latest news on the anime My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, which will begin broadcasting in Japan this month. The booth was displaying figures and toy sets planned to sell in Japan and selling bags and other goods.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is an American children’s animation. A unicorn called Twilight Sparkle goes to the country town of Ponyville to study friendship, and a story unfolds about her relationships with other characters who have great individuality. The anime is being distributed by Bushiroad.

Pinky Pie and other characters will be performed by the voice stars well-known for working on Tantei Opera Milky Holmes including Suzuko Mimori, Sora Tokui, Mikoi Sasaki, and Izumi Katta. With this voice star lineup, the anime has been gathering a lot of attention.

In America, not only children watch this anime; even adults have also seemed to fall for it. It will be extremely interesting to see how this anime is received in Japan.
