Broadcast Time and Cast Details Released for Historical Battle Anime “Mushibugyo”

After the announcement that Mushibugyo will be made into an anime, little information was released to the public. However, information has now been divulged in a follow-up report published in the March 6 issue of Weekly Shonen Sunday as well as on the anime’s official site. The broadcast date and time, main cast, theme song, and before-broadcast events were revealed all at once.

The first broadcast of Mushibugyo will begin at 6:00 p.m. on April 8 on TV Tokyo Network 6. The protagonist Tsukishima Jinbee will be voiced by KENN, who is known for his roles as Judai Yuki from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX and Hibito Nanba from Space Brothers. Other cast members include Satomi Akesaka as the voice of the heroine Oharu and Takuma Terashima as Mugai, the swordsman Jinbee admires. Numerous other popular voice stars, such as Rumi Okubo and Mamoru Miyano, will also make appearances.

The theme song “Tomo yo” was written by GaGaGa SP especially for the anime. The ending theme will be “Ichizu” by the popular unit iRis. Yu Serizawa, one of the members of iRis, will also voice the character Tenma Ichinotani in the anime.

Mushibugyo depicts Tsukishima Jinbee, who aims to be a samurai who always wins until he dies, fighting for peace in Edo and to protect the smiles of people, all the while growing stronger and stronger. Don’t miss out on this anime!
