In recent years, there have been many collaborations in Japan between apparel brands and anime. In particular, Evangelion and Gundam have had successful collaborations in this area. One such collaboration that has become a hot topic lately is the men’s apparel brand Strict-G, which is based on the world of Gundam. To date, this fashion brand has had several collaborations with other brands, including Edwin, Swans, Alpha Industries, Rootote, and Beams. The collaboration goods that have been produced thus far, including T-shirts, shoes, and jewelry, have been popular even with those who aren’t fans of Gundam.
This time, Strict-G has collaborated with the Kyoto-based brand Phiten on the item line Strict-G x Phiten. Phiten focuses on health maintenance and sells sports supplies and cosmetics. One product that is particularly popular is their Rakuwa X50 aqua titanium necklace. As a part of the new collaboration with Strict-G, Gundam and Char models of the Rakuwa X50 have been produced. Each one features a color image and cool design and sells for 5,040 yen. The necklaces are now on sale on the Strict-G official site, as well as the Gundam Front Tokyo store and the Neopasa Shizuoka store.
