On Feb. 23, the anime movie A Certain Magical Index: Miracle of Endymion began screening in theaters all over Japan. Now, seven more theaters have been added. With these additional theaters, the movie is now being screening in the Ehime prefecture as well as several other prefectures in which the movie had previously not been screened. This is surely good news for fans in Japan.
The movie has been enjoying a successful run. It debuted at number three on the Japan domestic movie industry’s ranking for opening weekend, and its box office revenue has surpassed 100 million yen. There is no doubt that the movie’s success is due to fans’ support.
To show appreciation for fans’ support, special goods have begun being given to those who buy tickets to the movie. The goods come as a set that includes four postcards of the characters Mikoto, Kuroko, Saten, and Uiharu from the spinoff series A Certain Scientific Railgun and an A4 size clear sheet as a promotion for the TV anime A Certain Scientific Railgun S, which will begin broadcasting this month.
Also being given out is a promotional super rare card for the social game A Certain Magical Index: Struggle Battle, which is available on Mobage.
It seems that A Certain Magical Index is becoming this spring’s most talked about work, and its popularity is sure to rise.
