BeeTV Broadcasts Show Featuring Famous Manga Scenes Brought to Life by Japanese Comedians!

“Yumei Manga Jikken Gekijo Dekiru de Show!?” is a variety show featuring Japanese comedians who re-enact famous scenes from popular manga. The show began broadcasting this year on Jan. 20 on the social TV service BeeTV.

The majority of favorite manga scenes people were fascinated by in their youth cannot be recreated in real life. However, on the show, teams consisting of Hidetsugu Shibata from Untouchable, Taku Suzuki from Drunk Dragon, and the comedy trio Tokyo03 aim to bring these scenes to life by using a variety of methods.

Some of the scenes that are re-enacted in the show include the acceleration device from Cyborg 009, levitation from Death Note, the North Star Humane Fist technique from Fist of the North Star, the rock-paper-scissors scene from Hunter x Hunter, and the scene where Yamato departs in Space Battleship Yamato. The best, most well-known scenes are selected and each team re-enacts them.

The show’s host Yahagi Ogi had this to say about the show’s appeal: “The difference between the amazing contestants and the terrible contestants is intense, but when each scene is done a few times you are bound to see something amazing. Don’t miss it (haha).”
