On Jan. 1-2, T.M.Revolution himself, Takanori Nishikawa, performed at the New Year’s Eve event “T.M.R. New Year Party ‘13 Live Revolution”. This year marked the fourth time the event has been held and it featured a surprise performance. T.M.Revolution appeared on stage wearing a macaroon colored dress and a blonde wig with a huge bow as if he was Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, the extremely popular Japanese artist who is known for her fun antics! After announcing himself as “Nori Pamyu Pamyu”, he perfectly danced out Kyary’s song “Tsukematsukeru” with four other dancers.
Takanori Nishikawa has produced many songs for anime and games under the name T.M.Revolution, and is quite popular with anime and game fans alike. In response to fans’ requests, his setlist for the night included the opening theme to Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, “Invoke”, the theme song to Sengoku Basara: The Last Party, “Flags” , the opening theme to Sengoku Basara II, “Sword Summit”, and the ending theme to Rurouni Kenshin, “Heart of Sword: Yoake Mae”.
Keep a lookout this year for more from T.M.Revolution!
