Senyu started on Aug. 27, 2010 as a web manga on Nico Nico Douga. The manga has been viewed more than 12.5 million times and has accumulated over four million comments. The work has been so popular, that it was adapted into an anime. Senyu is a fantasy work with a touch of slapstick humor. The story depicts the strife of those whose goal is to overthrow the Demon King.
It has been announced that the first volume Blu-ray and DVD for the series will be released on April 24. The first volume also will include a completely new OVA, which fans are sure to enjoy. The titles of the OVA are Episode 1.1: “Yusha, Nagurareru” and “Nise Panda no Seitai”. The second volume will also include an extra OVA. The price of the Blu-ray is 6,090 yen and the DVD is 5,040 yen.
