A Quick Look at “Tamako Market”

Incase you missed it, here a quick rundown on the past developments of Tamako Market

A commercial for the TV anime Tamako Market was shown during the fourth episode of “Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!” The commercial was prepared in the style of a short promotional video (PV) and featured the main character Kitashirakawa Tamako. As part of the commercial, the first clip of the anime and fourth key visual were released.

Immediately following the commercial’s release, the official website for the anime was updated with the commercial, as well as information on the cast and characters. The updated website also includes comments from members of the cast including Rina Hidaka as Kitashirakawa Anko, Atsushi Tamaru as Oji Mochizo, Yurie Yamaguchi as Asagiri Shiori. The first PV for the anime was also screening at Comic Market 83.

The director, series composer, character designer, as well as other various staff members of Tamako Market also worked on the hit anime K-On!. Tamako grew up as the daughter of a Mochi shop owner in the Usagikawa shopping district and is a very likable first year high school student. During the New Year’s holiday, a particularly busy time for the shopping district, Tamako unexpectedly finds a hilarious yet impertinent bird. The odd talking bird decides to freeload at Tamako’s home, and an interesting year for Tamako begins!
