Nintendo 3DS Downloadable Game “3D Space Harrier” Releases

The former masterpiece has been revived on the 3DS!

The Nintendo 3DS downloadable game 3D Space Harrier was released on the Nintendo eShop on Dec. 26, 2012. The single player game costs 600 yen.

The original Space Harrier was released as an arcade game in 1985 and now it has been optimized for the 3DS. The pseudo-3D that was used in the original has been upgraded to true 3D in 3D Space Harrier. The new 3D dramatically increases depth perception and makes it much easier to judge the distance of enemy bullets, decreasing the occurrences of being hit due to misjudgement. The game also features a mode that moves the screen along to player’s movements, a sound equalizer function for making minute adjustments, as well as save and replay functionality. Overall, it has been designed to be a more enjoyable experience.
