Anime “Katanagatari” to Begin Rebroadcasting on NoitaminA!

Ishin Nishio’s original work Katanagatari will begin rebroadcasting on Fuji TV’s noitaminA anime block as well as other channels this April. Many people no doubt know of Nishio from his other works including Nisemonogatari and Medaka Box. Along with the rebroadcast, the Blu-ray box set for the series will also go on sale on April 24.

Katanagatari is a unique historical anime about the search for the legendary 12 Deviant Blades forged by Shikizaki Kiki. The anime was originally broadcast from January to December 2012. Due to the density of the story, each episode was one hour long and one episode was aired monthly. This one hour format will be kept for the rebroadcast.

Fuji TV’s late night anime block noitaminA is known for broadcasting popular anime such as Honey and Clover and Nodame Cantabile and is constantly picking up attention. The new rebroadcast of Katanagatari will be the first time an anime has been rebroadcast on the popular anime block. If you haven’t seen Katanagatari yet, don’t miss it this April!
