The dream collaboration continues!
NAMCO BANDAI Games has announced a sequel to One Piece: Pirate Warriors, which is a collaboration between the manga series One Piece and the action game series Warriors. The sequel, titled One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 will be coming to both the PS3 and PS Vita. Like its predecessor, the game is being developed by TECMO KOEI GAMES’ Omega Force (ω-Force). The game will be released in Japan on Mar. 20, 2013.
The One Piece: Pirate Warriors series incorporates the non-stop, adrenaline-pumping beat ‘em up action from the Warriors series with the world of One Piece. The game features many well-known characters from the series for players to control and enjoy. The first game in the series was released in March 2012, and has since become a big hit, with over 1.2 million copies being shipped worldwide.
The new game takes place two years after the first and of course features the Straw Hat Pirates, as well as new characters such as Eneru. The game also features new stages, such as Sorajima, as well as beautifully crafted action scenes. Compared to the previous game, the battles are bigger and better, which fans are sure to appreciate.
Fans will also be happy to hear that the game will be coming to both the PS3 and PS Vita, as opposed to the first game which was only released on the PS3. We are curious to see if the game will include any connectivity between the two devices.
One Piece fans, the wait is almost over!
