An animation adaptation is in the works for the popular manga Attack on Titan, which is currently serialized in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. The animation will be produced by Wit Studio and a stellar team including Tetsuro Araki in charge of directing, Yasuko Kobayashi in charge of series composition, and Kyoji Asano in charge of character design. Here are two new juicy bits of intel about the new anime!
First, the anime will begin broadcasting this spring on Mainichi Broadcasting System (MBS). Second, the cast for the main characters has been announced. The anime’s main character, a young man named Eren, will be voiced by Yuki Kaji, heroine Mikase will be voiced by Yui Ishikawa, and their friend Armin will be voiced by Marina Inoue.
In the anime, the world is currently overrun by giants. Humanity has becoming nothing more than food for the giants, and only the construction of three gigantic 50 meter tall walls protecting a human territory keeps people safe. However, with such an enclosure, humankind must sacrifice their true freedom for their lives. To utter despair, a giant far larger than ever thought existed seems to be capable of crossing over the walls. One is left to wonder how Erin and the rest of humanity will combat this new threat.
Don’t miss out on the action-packed battle for survival anime Attack on Titan this spring!
