Since it’s inception in 2005, GARO has spawned a TV series and movie. The latest work in the series is the movie GARO: Soukoku no Maryu, which is set to be released on Feb. 23, 2013. The movie is planned to first screen at the Shinjuku Wald 9 theater before expanding country-wide.
The series has continued for seven years, and the new movie is being called the final chapter. Fans are buzzing about Ryosei Konishi reprising his role as the main character, Saejima Kouga, for possibly the last time. The popularity of the series is amazing. At the recent 25th Annual Tokyo International Film Festival, tickets for the movie’s screening sold out in merely 10 minutes.
The highlight of GARO is the impressive action scenes, which became even more impressive as the series progressed. This movie may be the last time to see this defining aspect of the series. Definitely don’t miss this movie.
