The popular game Devil Survivor 2 is being made into a TV anime. The title of the anime is Devil Survivor 2: The Animation and it will begin broadcasting in April 2013. Devil Survivor is a popular series that has received high acclaim for its world and character designs by Suzuhito Yasuda. The series is developed by Atlus, who has churned out a great number of popular games, including the Shin Megami Tensei series and the masterpiece Persona series, which was also made into an anime.
A manga based on the series is also underway. The manga began serialization in the monthly magazine G Fantasy on Dec. 18, 2012. The manga is also titled Devil Survivor 2: The Animation and is an original work by Atlus with drawings by Haruto Shiota.
The story takes place seven days before the end of the world. Mysterious invaders called the Septentrion have invaded, and Tokyo has suddenly fallen into chaos. Focusing on the Thirteen Devil Messengers, a group who have contracted with demons and have gained the power to fight the Septentrion, the story depicts the conflict of those left in the city.
