On Dec. 4, 2012, NAMCO BANDAI Games announced new characters for the Nintendo 3DS game Magi: Hajimari no Meikyuu, which will be released in the summer of 2013.
The game is an action RPG based on Magi, which is a manga that is currently being serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday as well as an anime that is currently broadcasting. The game features the same characters from the original work. Sinbad is the charismatic king of the country Sindria who controls several djinn. He is well respected by his retainers, who go by the name of the Eight Generals, however he has a bit of a drinking problem which causes them a great deal of trouble. Judal is a magi who is distinguishable by his long black hair. His true character and intentions, however, are a mystery. Both characters will play a pivotal role in the game’s story.
The first free gifts for the game have also been announced. Included in the manga will be a 3-piece set of rare Magi stickers as well as a download code for a special playable version of Morgiana. However, this version of the manga is limited, and once supplies run out, this promotion will end.
