Christmas Episode of “Kyojin no Hoshi” Broadcast on Nico Live on Christmas Eve

Recently, Kyojin no Hoshi has once again been bathing in the limelight. The anime was broadcast from 1968-1979, making it quite an oldie. However, the popularity of the series seems to have risen again due to a recent promotional commercial. A special channel for the anime was also established on Nico Nico Live’s Nico Nico Channel.

Did you know that Kyojin no Hoshi also has a Christmas episode? Yep, it’s episode 92, “Oriawanu Keiyaku”, or “An Uncompromising Agreement”. The title isn’t very Christmas-like, and the episode does differ slightly from the ordinary Christmas formula, however, it’s still a Christmas episode through and through. In the midst of his anguish, the main character Hyuma Hoshi’s contract renewal period approaches. While planning a Christmas party, Hoshi has to suffer through his father’s indignation.

The episode was broadcast on Dec. 24, 2012 at 11:00 p.m. However, the episode wasn’t aired by itself. Starting at 3:00 p.m., every episode up to 92 was aired back to back. It was a great opportunity to follow the story from the beginning. Episodes 93-182 are planned to air sometime in January 2013. This is the perfect opportunity to watch a masterpiece of the past. Don’t miss it!
