“Kamisama Hajimemashita” Volume 1 Blu-ray and DVD Are Now on Sale

Kamisama Hajimemashita is a popular manga created by Julietta Suzuki which is currently being serialized in the shoujo manga magazine, Hana to Yume. More than 15 million copies of the manga, which currently includes 14 volumes, have been printed to date. The first volume of the Blu-ray and DVD for the anime adaptation of the series went on sale on Dec. 28, 2012. Both versions include the first episode of the anime. The cost of the Blu-ray is 3,990 yen, and the cost of the DVD is 2,940 yen (both prices include tax).

Akitaro Daichi, who has gained a reputation for his comedy and gags in works such as Fruits Basket, directed the anime. Daichi was also in charge of the script, series composition, and original story for the anime. Junko Yamanaka, who was the character designer and animation supervisor for Detective Conan, was in charge of character designs for the anime, and the prominent animation studio TMS Entertainment produced the anime.

The first volume Blu-ray and DVD also includes a drama CD featuring special talks from the voice cast, as well as a priority ticket to a special event that is planned to take place on Feb. 3, 2013.
