Strict-G, a Bandai company, is known for incorporating the world of Mobile Suit Gundam into their excellent men’s apparel, and Porter, a brand of Yoshida & Co., is known for its exquisite bags. So when the two decided to collaborate on the Char Aznable series bags, everyone took notice. Strict-G began selling the five different bags on Dec. 22, 2012.
Porter is extremely popular for their sturdy yet stylish bags made only in Japan, and the same high quality is easily seen in these new bags. The color of the bags is a deep red based on Char Aznable’s Zaku.
The pricing breakdown of the bags is as follows: the briefcase is 30,450 yen, the waist bag is 16,800 yen, the vertical-style wallet is 8,400 yen, the horizontal-style wallet is 9,450 yen, and the multi pouch is 6,300 yen. All prices include tax.
Pre-orders for the bags began on Dec. 1 at the Strict-G stores in Gundam Front Tokyo and Neopasa Shizuoka. The deadline for picking up the bags was Dec. 31, and customers had to pick them up at the same location they pre-ordered them from.
