The new Doraemon movie, "Doraemon: Nobita’s Secret Gadget Museum", will be released on Mar. 9, 2013. The J-Pop group Perfume has been selected to perform the theme song to the movie. This will be a collaboration between two of the world’s well-loved pop icons: everyone's favorite cat from the future, Doraemon, and the internationally renowned, popular techno-pop girl group, Perfume.
The song is titled "The Future Museum", and is distinctly "Perfume-style" while aptly conveying the fantastical world of Doraemon. The single will go on sale in the spring of 2013, and there is high anticipation for its release.
The collaboration was unexpectedly announced on Nov. 24 at the last stop of Perfume's first world tour, titled "Perfume WORLD TOUR 1st", in Singapore.
