The Executive Office of Master Certification Administration will be holding a certification examination on Mar. 3, 2013 called “Akiba Master Certification”. The theme of the examination will be the district of Akihabara.
The examination will be a fair and impartial test on examinees’ knowledge of Akihabara. Those who pass the examination will be awarded a certificate that recognizes them as “Akiba Navigators”. The examination will feature questions from ten categories including: general questions, the history of Akihabara, electronics, computers/IT, video games/arcade games, comics/anime/voice actors/movies, models/figures/hobby, cosplay/maid cafe/concerts, idols, and gourmet.
Applications are currently being taken on the official site. The location of the examination is still undetermined. The examination fee is 4,200 yen (tax included), for only 3rd grade. The deadline for applications is Feb. 15, 2013.
