VAMPS
VAMPS is a Japanese rock duo formed by megastar Hyde of L’Arc-en-Ciel, and K.A.Z. of Oblivion Dust in 2008. Originally signed to Hyde’s Vamprose record label, the band switched to Universal’s Delicious Deli Records in 2013 and continue to release music internationally.
The main band members are Hyde and K.A.Z. but they are also joined by Ju-ken, Arimatsu on drums, and Jin on keyboards. So far they have released four studio albums: Vamps, Beast, Sex Blood Rock n’ Roll, and BloodSuckers, as well as 10 hit singles including “Love Addict,” “I Gotta Kick Start Now,” “Evanescent,” “Sweet Dreams,” “Devil Side,” “Angel Trip,” “Memories,” “Ahead/Replay,” “Get Away/The Jolly Roger,” and “Vampire’s Love.”
VAMPS’ seventh single, Memories, also included a B-side of a new version of their song “Get Up -Japanese Ver.-” which translated some of the lyrics into Japanese and was used in the Bakuman anime.
VAMPS also continue to tour regularly and release a large number of live concert DVDs.
