Mamoru Hosoda
Best known for his feature-length animations The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Summer Wars, Wolf Children, and The Boy and the Beast, Mamoru Hosoda is one of Japan’s most exciting animation directors.
After beginning his career at Toei, Hosoda later moved to Madhouse before establishing his own animation house, Studio Chizu, in 2011, but first made an impression with the public by helming the first two big screen outings in the Digimon Adventure series as well as the sixth of the One Piece movies.
