JAM Project
JAM Project is a Japanese supergroup founded in 2000 by ‘70s anime and tokusatsu theme tune superstar Ichirou Mizuki. JAM stands for Japan Animation Songmakers and the band does specialise in the “anisong” genre of music related to anime, tokusatsu, and video games.
The band is made up of several independently famous singers including: Hironobu Kageyama, Masaaki Endoh, Hiroshi Kitadani, Masami Okui, and Yoshiki Fukuyama with Brazilian Ricardo Cruz as a semi-regular member as well as former members Eizo Sakamoto, Rica Matsumoto, and Ichirou Mizuki who describes himself as a part-timer.
So far the band have released 65 singles, 11 compilation albums, and 4 original studio albums - JAM First Process, MAXIMIZER - Decade of Evolution, Victoria Cross, and Thumb Rise Again. They’ve also released 11 live concert DVDs and contributed to countless anime and video game franchises including Bakuman, Cardfight! Vanguard, and One-Punch Man.
