Hello Kitty was born in 1974 by the hand of Japanese designer Yuko Shimizu. According to her biography, she was born in London on Nov. 1 as Kitty White and she is as small as five apples. She has a large family: A twin sister called Mimmy with whom she is very close, their parents Mary and George, their grandparents Margaret and Anthony, Kitty’s pet Persian Charmmy, and pet hamster Sugar, whom she got from her childhood friend Dear Daniel.

With numerous goods ranging from everyday cute to high-end and even TV shows and video games, she can be considered a global star on the kawaii market and also Sanrio’s mascot character. Kitty’s current designer is Yuko Yamaguchi.
