Dramatical Murder is a BL or Boy’s Love/yaoi visual novel developed by Nitro+Chiral which was followed by its sequel, Dramatical Murder Re:Connect in 2013. The series was also adapted into a TV anime by NAZ broadcast in 2014.

At some point in the near future, the fictional town of Midorijima has been privatized by a powerful company, Toei Konzern, and turned into a premium resort called Platinum Jail where the original residents have been forced to live in the Old Residential District. The protagonist of the series, Aoba Seragaki, has a part time job at store called Junk Shop Mediocrity and lives with his grandmother, Tae. Aoba’s quiet, simple life is derailed after he gets dragged into the cyber game Rhyme which operates in a virtual world with the use of Allmates - mobile devices which appear as the player’s pet. When he starts hearing about mysterious disappearances involving Ribstiez and turf wars between various gangs, Aoba’s life starts to get very complicated indeed.
