Released in 2005, Banao (or Elite Banana Banao) is a character series from Kamio Japan with the titular Banao as its protagonist, a banana character known for being a “very sweet nice guy”!

Banao is a salaryman working in brand marketing and a 30-year old bachelor, so you’ll often see this stylish guy on his phone (probably making work calls)! That handsome face of his makes him comically confident. He also has a close friend by the name of Teruhiko Tsuyakawa and a cute gray cat by the name of Yuko.

His fun personality and unforgettable face have made him a favorite, and he’s featured in and on everything from stationery to plushie collections!
