Anison

“Anison” is a short way of saying “anime song” which has now become a musical genre in its own right! This includes all songs which have been used in or created for an anime or even for anime-related video games like RPGs and visual novels. There’s even a large-scale concert event held every year since 2005, Animelo Summer Live, which is dedicated to celebrating the unique and diverse songs which are born from this ever evolving industry.

Record labels Lantis and 5pb.Records specialise in the anison genre, releasing hundreds of fantastic singles and albums from such well-known artists as JAM Project, ALI PROJECT, angela, and Ishikawa Chiaki.
