Brothers Shinichi and Seiji Sagara carry on the tradition of three generations of creating tawashi. Through their well-calculated construction method and unparalleled fiber density, they continue to produce the highest quality tawashi every day. Made of natural materials with an exquisite feel, their tawashi are ideal for cooking and kitchen cleaning. We have been locally owned and operated since our establishment in 1932 (the seventh year of the Showa era). We dye festival hanten and dancing kimono for areas all over Japan, with a focus on hanten for the Sanja Festival held in Tokyo and costumes for the Awa Odori Festival in Tokushima Prefecture using the local Ashikaga style of yuzen. Through dyeing, we aim to become a dye shop with roots in the community that only we could make.
