In celebration of the 15th anniversary of the popular series Spice and Wolf, Kadokawa is proud to introduce a stunning ukiyo-e woodblock print of Holo titled “Wolf Beauty with Cherry Blossoms, Holo.” Based on new artwork by Ju Ayakura, the illustrator of the original light novels, the print was masterfully engraved by Kazuo Watanabe, who was awarded a Medal of Honor from the Japanese government in appreciation of his achievements as a traditional craftsman, and printed by Hideo Yoshida, a woodblock printer belonging to the Agency for Cultural Affairs’ Intangible Cultural Properties Selection and Conservation Technology Association.

Posed underneath a cherry tree in bloom, the print gives a new charm to the beloved character and captures her in an elegant kimono with a cherry blossom pattern that flows delicately in the breeze as she gives a bright yet slightly mischievous smile that shows her playful personality. The beautiful piece comes in a contemporary black frame with gold trim and features the 15th anniversary logo printed on the front acrylic panel. Painstakingly crafted by hand using traditional techniques, it is sure to be a treasured addition to any fan’s collection.
