From hanzou comes a traditional Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock print of the introverted bibliophile Yuki Nagato from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya celebrating the 10th anniversary since the theatrical release of The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya and the 15th anniversary of the TV anime!
The second of two The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya ukiyo-e woodblock prints that follows up the previously released Natsu-Meguri 15498-Kei Ukiyo-e Woodblock Print, this print features special artwork created during the movie’s release that captures Yuki wearing a glamorous kimono that accentuates her refined charm as she holds a red Japanese umbrella in her hands. Nagato’s beautiful springtime scenery is depicted in the background by a row of cherry blossom and plum trees in full bloom.
The vibrant print uses traditional Echizen Kizuki Hosho paper, the finest Japanese paper created by the living national treasure, Ichibei Iwano, and was hand-carved by Shoichi Kitamura and printed by Masahito Nakayama, meaning that each piece is unique and one-of-a-kind. Each print comes in a contemporary natural wood mat frame, making it a gallery-worthy piece you’ll be proud to show off.
