The girls of Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend are getting immortalized as ukiyo-e woodblock prints for this special “The Most Beautiful Heroines” artwork series!
Created using traditional techniques under the concept of “hime” (Japanese princess), this gorgeous print recreates original artwork by Kurehito Misaki and features Eriri Spencer Sawamura wearing a striped kimono with a brightly colored floral design. She holds a fan in her hand and looks to the side with a soft smile as she stands under a sakura tree with a scenic view of the countryside in the background.
The entire piece is made using the technique of "continued painting" (a world-first for a collaborative ukiyo-e), meaning each of the three art pieces in the series connect to form a continuous painting, so you can enjoy them individually or as a panorama display by lining all three up together!
The artwork is printed on Echizen Kizuki Bousho, the finest quality Japanese paper made by a living national treasure, Ichibei Iwano Echizen. The traditional woodblock techniques used capture every tiny detail of the artwork in stunning clarity, and it comes framed and ready to hang, making it a gallery-worthy art piece that you are sure to treasure for years to come as part of your collection!
