Machinen Krieger originally began as a science-fiction series by Kow Yokoyama under the title of SF3D which ran in the back of Hobby Japan in the 1980s. The series proved popular, however a copyright dispute with Hobby Japan saw SF3D temporarily halted in 1986 only to return under the slightly different name of Maschinen Krieger ZbV3000 (or Ma.k). The story features a futuristic Earth which had been ravaged by nuclear war and abandoned by humanity. After a research team discover that the earth has healed itself, a plan is hatched to re-colonize the planet, but unfortunately it mostly attracts the baser elements of human society and is riddled with crime and vice. The authorities then send military powers to combat the rampant criminality, but this only results in a full-scale war.
The Snowman is just one of these war machines deployed during the resulting conflict. Cunningly disguised as a giant snowman, this particular piloted mecha robot is perfect for battle in cold weather climates! Aside from being extremely cute (especially for a deadly killing machine), this excellent model from Sentinel Toys features multiple points of articulation and an automatic hatch door which allows you to open up the cockpit area. Not only that, it also comes with a small pilot figure you can put inside! Complete with all the markings and warning signs faithfully recreated from Yokoyama’s stories, this super-realistic model is perfect not only for Machinen Krieger fans, but for anyone who loves cute robots!
