IT IS EVERYTHING I DREAMED AND MORE.
The product photos mostly hide the weird eyes. I've never seen anything like it.
Other than that, I would say the quality isn't quite what you would want for this price.
I love the pose, the sculpt, the paint, the ribbon ears, the little bows, the fabric pantyhose. It looks great in most lighting conditions.
The only downside is the mediocre quality assurance - flaws are pretty much guaranteed. But I would say it is definitely worth the price.

The final product is true to the photos.
The sculpt and painting are top-notch. Especially at this price.
Anya is taller than in the manga/anime and while the result is interesting to me, I can see how it might bother some people.
The only complaint I have is that the pegs extend from her feet rather than the base.
The art is mostly chaotic in this volume. This is exacerbated by the small format.
Not great, if you don't know the language.
Hijinks at the onsen. Art is uneven - some good, some bad - like all Nagatoro.
I think the pose is less active and more reactive, like she's about to fall down on stage. Not really a fan of that.
But I do like the sculpt and her face is gorgeous. Finally a stand that isn't an eyesore.
Excellent supplemental book for any manga character drawing education.
Although, there are some redundancies in the examples and the coloring tutorial at the end is pointless.
Overall, I was happiest to see the changing faces of a man and woman from infancy to old age, drawn with different emotions.
I understand what they were trying to communicate. I feel like they failed.
Something is off with both the proportions and the lighting in their examples and the instructions on "contour" are so obvious.
I really don't see how this would be of any use to supplement the education of any artist, as better books and references are already owned by them.
Was looking for a lot more of the types of interactions depicted on the cover, but most of the pages feature solo characters.
The Mini Cho books from the same illustrator are much better, imo
The colors in the final illustrations are amazing. He's so good with the details and faces of his adult characters have a certain mundane charm to them. (The faces of the teens and children are just funny)
It was cool to see the samples of his manga as well.
The book is a large format which really allows the background details to be shown off.
Instruction on drawing facial features, joints, and miscellaneous, with particular focus on scale and perspective. Helpful examples of musculoskeletal differences re: position.
This is a great series of books that are affordable and instructive.
Practical instruction on taking a drawing from gesture to a figure. Tips on lighting, perspective, and focus.
Very useful and affordable.
I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Visually pleasing.
Interesting line work.
And the skillful balance between positive and negative space makes it easy to take in the illustration even with all of its many details. A lot of artists struggle to elevate their work beyond the clutter--this book is a showcase of how to do just that.
I'm unfamiliar with a lot of these sweets--I want to taste them.
The art pops off of each page. I love the detail.
These images are somewhat unbelievable, and after seeing the hamburger art process at the end I still have questions, but there is no denying that each artwork is attractive and appetizing.
It is useful to see how the different articles of clothing fold, twist, stretch, etc., but there aren't a lot of examples despite the size of this book.
Most pages feature 1 or 2 medium photos with a dozen or more small photos that are next to useless as reference material.
Not worth the purchase, imo
High-quality printing with great camera work and poses that feature different sets of clothing and lighting.
Very usable as a reference for artwork.
One of the best photo books I have seen.
the line work!
and the subtle, but evocative use of color and facial expression.
These artworks have a nice sense of space to them and the characters are posed well.
I didn't like the soft eyes and backgrounds, nor the use of color.
So much text. It's a slog to translate with the google app.
But, it's often worth it. The chapters on perspective and animation, in particular, provided useful instruction.
Still, there could (should) have been even more direct instruction and examples rather than the extensive read on the artist's philosophical approach to creating art.
This book contains a lot of wistful urban fantasy artworks (and some other pieces and sketches) that show off subtle differences in technique. Jun Kumaori has excellent range and creates some eye-catching characters.
The 2 tutorials were a lot more useful than what I've seen in other books in this series.
I think it's one of the best "digital painterly" artbooks.

Another 8 songs in this one. Great print quality.
I like the direction for the type of feeling you need to put into the performance.
8 songs. Good mood instructions.
Very nice print.
Some great references for air bubbles, underwater lighting, and poses.
The photo compositions and print quality (matte) leave something to be desired.
The plastic has that shiny effect that you don't see in the product photos. I would love this figure, otherwise, even with that neck seam.
Really wanted that matte look, but this just doesn't have it.

It's so hard to find figures that don't have off-putting skin paint. Unfortunately, the search continues.
I do like the details in the hair and wings, though. The size is also nice.
The translucency in the hair is amazing.
The see-through pants with no legs inside is weird!
And the chunky base doesn't do much. The figure cannot stand alone without it, but even with the base attached the figure is still wobbly.

There are 2 tutorials that basically give a step-by-step of how to achieve some of the artist's favorite effects. The rest of the book is a collection of artwork. Much of the illustrations have a sort of crystalline quality to them, but it isn't a realistic depiction of how light interacts with material.
The accessories are on point and the character design, albeit simple, looks good on a shelf.
It could use more details overall, but it's rather good. The worst part is the plain brown block that one foot slots into to keep her standing. Better balanced feet or even a flat stand would have been a lot better.
This is absolutely my favorite Nendoroid. It is soo good!
The paint and minor details are top notch. And,
The. Cat. Ears.
It's a bit of a job to attach them, but it's totally worth it.
Note: The colors look just like the product photos in person. I was just playing around with my lighting set-up and this was the result.

The strangely large hands look even worse in person, but it's a good figure.
It's a little small. The details are about what you would expect for the price. The lighting conditions for your setup can drastically change the quality of this one.
The painting and sculpt are really nice. And the size is great.
Hard to display, of course.
I wish the plastic clothes could be removed and replaced by real fabric...
Something is wrong with the face, but it's close enough. Also, the lighting in the product photos alters the appearance of her skin, somewhat.
Great figure, overall. Pricey.
The hair is too fluffy and her face doesn't look like the game, but overall it is a nice noodle stopper.
I love the transparent parts of her lab coat.
The exoskeleton helps with the size, but the girl is very smol. Great for those who enjoy action figures.
I love the outfit. The painting is done well. The pose is just average. Her legs are ridiculous, but I guess that's just a matter of taste.
I wish there were an option for a pre-assembled figure, but it is what it is.
I know we shouldn't expect much from inexpensive figures, but the mouth really bothered me.
It's a nice figure. The paint is great and it's very pose-able with the accompanying accessories.
But...it's smaller than I would like and she looks awkward without her scarf.
Recommended for fans of the series and anyone who enjoys cute figmas.
The hands are impressive, the clothing/armor is great. I love the flow of the water and Katara's hair. Her face looks better in person than the photos, but I still feel it lacks something.
Overall, worth the purchase--definitely!
