Characters from Final Fantasy Series

The Final Fantasy franchise has created an abundance of popular characters in the gaming and Anime Otaku industry. Here are a few examples of Final Fantasy figures on the market.

  • Cloud Strife - Cloud Strife’s main facial characteristics and the colors of his clothing were designed to match Tetsuya Nomura’s illustration. He is depicted with a pauldron on his left shoulder and the armor on his hips allowing for him to be rotated into various different poses with extra detail is included on his iconic Buster Sword, and cape. His cape is able to be replaced with a wing like sephiroth, four interchangeable hands are also included with the figure. The figure, if combined with Sephiroth, evokes the imagery of the world of Final Fantasy VII.

  • Sephiroth - The 3D Sephiroth figure is the antagonist of Final Fantasy VII based on the work of Tetsuya Nomura’s. Sephiroth is depicted with very meticulous details on his wings, coming with two sets of wings as accessories. Like Cloud, four sets of interchangeable hands come with Sephiroth, and his iconic sword, the Masamune is included as well. The appearance of the figure is intimidating, and an air of evil and doom is expressed well in the dark, brooding model of Sephiroth.

  • Aerith Gainsborough - Another figure from Final Fantasy VII is Aerith Gainsborough, who is presented in the same style as she was in the ending part of CRISIS CORE FINAL FANTASY VII, which takes place seven years before the events depicted in Final Fantasy VII timeline. She is depicted with a very feminine appearance and the texture of her clothing is finely detailed, making a great replica of her appearance in the game. The figure comes with interchangeable face attachments, one with a soft yet determined expression and the other with her deep in prayer.

  • Cindy Aurum - Cindy Aurum is a mechanic that first makes her appearance in Final Fantasy XV, who is known for her cheerful character and positive energy. She works at her grandfather’s mechanic shop, the hammerhead, in the Kingdom of Lucis. The painting and form of the figure matches her depiction in the game very well. She has her signature jacket and hat with short jean shorts, all of the articles of clothing boast fine detail.

  • Zidane Tribal with Princess Garnet - Another popular figure from the Final Fantasy figure lineup is one of Zidane tribal, the main characters from Final Fantasy 9, and Princess Garnet, another character from the same universe. The characters come in fine detail and replicate their appearance in game, and are even able to be made to appear caressing one another. They both come with a number of accessories, as well; Zidane comes with three weapons including daggers, “Mage Mashers”, “Ultima Weapon”, two interchangeable face parts, and eight hands.
Garnet comes with two weapons, the Healing Rod, “Tiger Racket”, one interchangeable face part, two long-hair pieces, three short-hair pieces, and five interchangeable hands.

Final Fantasy Nendoroid and Funko Pop

In addition to real-life figures, Nendoroid and Funko Pop figures have become popular in the anime and gaming industry. Both Nendoroid and Funko Pop are less realistic and smaller ‘cute’ type collectibles of characters that have a large fanbase and following around the world. Currently, the Final Fantasy franchise has not released any information on a partnership agreement with the figure makers, with many Final Fantasy figure collectors waiting in anticipation. However, both Nendoroid and Funko Pop makers already have agreements with large and famous franchises such as the Evangelion and Attack on Titan brands, so it may just be a matter of time.
