Fantasy anime Ascendance of a Bookworm will be returning for its third season next spring!
The third season will adapt the second half of the original light novel series' Part 2: Apprentice Shrine Maiden arc.
Inspired by the light novel series written by Miya Kazuki with illustrations by Yu Shiina, Ascendance of a Bookworm follows bookworm and aspiring librarian Urano Mototsu, who is ironically crushed to death by a pile of books during an earthquake. However, she finds herself reincarnated as a five-year-old named Myne in another world where books are available only to elites. Retaining her memories from her previous life, she vows to start printing her own books so she can read again.
Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 3 will air in spring 2022.
