Death Note and Bakuman Creators' Platinum End Manga Gets Anime!

Dark fantasy manga Platinum End, written by Death Note’s Ohba Tsugumi and illustrated by Bakuman’s Obata Takeshi, is set to receive a TV anime adaptation next autumn!

Platinum End, Ohba and Obata's third manga collaboration, has been serialized in Jump Square since 2015. It follows a boy named Mirai who attempts to take his own life after suffering abuse at the hands of his foster parents. Not only is he saved by guardian angel Nasse, but she also informs him that God is set to step down in 999 days and Mirai is one of 13 candidates to replace him.

Takahashi Hideya ( JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind ) will direct, with character design by Odate Koji ( No Game No Life ), and script/series composition by Inotsume Shinichi ( Persona 5: The Animation ).

Platinum End is slated to air in autumn 2021.
