Made in Abyss Confirms Title for New Movie!

Adventure anime Made in Abyss has confirmed the title for its upcoming movie: Made in Abyss: Fukaki Tamashii no Reimei! A new visual was released along with the announcement.

The new movie will be the latest installment in the Made in Abyss franchise, based on Tsukushi Akihito’s manga. Taking place in a secret cave system known as “Abyss”, the series follows a curious explorer named Rico and her robot Reg as they investigate the mysterious caves.

A compilation movie of the TV anime, Made in Abyss: Tabidachi no Yoake, opened in Japanese cinemas on Jan. 4 with its concluding half, Made in Abyss: Horo Suru Tasogare, set to open on Jan. 18. The creative team will be on hand to present the first movie at a special event on Jan. 11 at Tokyo’s EJ Anime Theater Shinjuku where Tsukushi will also make an appearance, and the second film on Jan. 20 at Tachikawa’s Cinema City Cinema Two, which will also feature director Kojima Masayuki.
