A preview of the Gintama: Mitsuba Arc drama that’ll be streamable on dTV beginning on July 15 has been released, focussing on Yagira Yuya (Hijikata Toushirou) and Yoshizawa Ryo (Okita Sougo). This new drama is based on the ridiculously popular manga of the same name by Sorachi Hideaki with more than 50,000,000 copies printed.
Its release is set for just 1 day after the live-action movie. Director Fukuda Yuichi is also the director behind both, so it looks like there’ll be a lot of great Gintama action to look forward to.
The drama will be based on the Mitsuba arc, which focuses on the Shinsengumi captain Sougo and his older sister Mitsuba who visits the headquarters to announce her marriage when something terrible happens. The new preview includes a swordfight between Hijikata (Yagira Yuya) and Okita (Yoshizawa Ryo) which you can check out below!
