My Hero Academia is fast approaching its second cour, set to begin airing on Jul. 8. With the ending theme already announced to be LiSA's "Datte Atashi no Hero", it's now been revealed that "Sora ni Utaeba" by rock band amazarashi will be welcoming My Hero Academia fans to each episode as the anime's opening theme!
amazarashi is a rock band led by Akita Hiromu, who hails from Aomori Prefecture - and little more has been revealed on their background or identities. However, the group's sense of mystery hasn't hindered their success, having previously drawn 10,000 fans to a 360° live show and live preview, as well as their album "Message Bottle" having reached No. 3 on the Oricon Weekly Chart.
For fans who can't wait for the official premiere of My Hero Academia's second cour, you can get another glimpse in the recently released PV below! The second half also previews "Sora ni Utaeba", the release of which will be announced at a later date.
