Tokyo Ghoul Movie Unveils Brand New Scenes!

Tokyo Ghoul has revealed two more scenes for its upcoming live-action movie, each featuring ghouls with whom Kaneki crosses paths.

One of them is Uta, an artisan who makes the masks ghouls use in battle, including one for Kaneki. He might look intimidating at first sight, but he is usually calm and friendly, like when he’s offering a bowl of eyeballs to a terrified Kaneki...
His role goes to Bando Minosuke, the actor who played Bon Clay in the cinema kabuki Super Kabuki II: One Piece - and also a fan of the Tokyo Ghoul manga!

The other is Nishio Nishiki, a ghoul who attends the same university as Kaneki and lives like a human. Although ghouls are normally unable to digest human food, Nishiki has no problems eating taiyaki, which is a memorable scene included in both the original manga and the movie. Nishiki is played by Shiraishi Shunya, who also starred in Kamen Rider Wizard.

Set for theater release in 23 countries, Tokyo Ghoul will premiere on July 29 in Japan.
