Nearing its Jul. 29 premier, Tokyo Ghoul has revealed the overseas version of its poster. Featuring Kaneki Ken wearing his iconic mask, the poster radiates the dark atmosphere for which the series is so loved.
Five new members of the cast were also announced.
Shiraishi Shunya will be appearing as Nishio Nishiki, a Ghoul in the same university as Kaneki, Furuhata Seika as Kosaka Yoriko, Touka’s classmate and good friend, Maeno Tomoya as Kusaba Ippei, a Bureau Investigator of the 20th ward, Dankan as Ghoul researcher Ogura Hisashi, and Iwamatsu Ryo as Kanou Akihiro, the doctor who treated and transformed Kaneki.
To kick off the live action film, an event featuring Kubota Masataka (Kaneki Ken), director Hagiwara Kentaro, and original creator Ishida Sui, who will be present via text, will be held on June 2. Here’s to hoping that the movie will be just as awesome as the manga!
