The July 29 release date for the live-action Tokyo Ghoul film still feels far away, but they’re keeping the hype up with even more details about the cast! The newly released third cast list is centered around members of the coffee cafe from the series, Anteiku. This coffee shop becomes like a home to Kaneki after he starts working there, and while it seems to be a normal cafe from the outside, it’s actually a place for Ghouls to gather.
Yoshimura Kuzen is the master of the cafe and is the figure who teaches Kaneki about being a Ghoul and helps him come to terms with his new life. He’ll be played by Murai Kunio in the movie.
Yoshimura’s right-hand man, Renji Yomo (also known as the Raven), will be played by Yanagi Shuntaro.
Next on the list of announcements is Hamano Kenta as Koma Enji, the expert coffee brewer and Anteiku waiter!
Fueguchi Ryoko and Hinami were revealed, as well. This mother-daughter Ghoul pair take refuge in Anteiku while hiding from Ghoul Investigators, and they’ll be played by Aida Shoko and Sakurada Hiyori respectively.
Last but not least was the announcement of Sasaki Nozomi as Irimi Kaya! Despite a dark past, Irima has warmed up through Yoshimura’s influence.
All of these characters have dark pasts and challenging paths ahead, and it will be exciting to see how each actor takes their role on in the film. If only July could get here sooner!
