Princess Principal, an original TV anime, will begin broadcasting in Japan from July 9 on Tokyo MX. The “spy action” themed anime is set in an alternate 19th century London which is divided by a large wall separating east from west and features five female protagonists who work as undercover spies active in all kinds of exciting covert action.
With the show hitting the airwaves soon, the following additional cast members have just been announced.
Tsugo Takayuki as Control Leader L
Sawashiro Miyuki as 7, a talented female analyst
Takumi Yamazaki as the Colonel
Hashi Takaya as the Duke of Normandy - Minister of the Interior
Iida Yuko as Gazelle, the Duke of Normandy’s secretary
Void_Chords feat.MARU’s “The Other Side of the Wall” will be the opening theme for the anime while the five main actresses will sing the ending theme, “A Page of My Story”.
Prior to broadcasts beginning there will also be a preview screening of Episode 1 at Shinjuku Wald 9 on July 2 at which members of the cast and crew are expected to appear , including Imamura Ayaka (Angie), Sekine Akira (Princess), Taichi Yo (Dorothy), Kageyama Akari (Beatrice), and Furuki Nozomi (Chise).
Imamura Ayaka and Taichi Yo will also host a web radio programme beginning with a special preview on June 26 and thereafter running every Sunday from July 9.
