Kino's Journey Returns with New TV Anime Series This Fall!

Fans will be excited to learn that Kino’s Journey: the Beautiful World is heading back to television with a brand new anime series!

Officially known as Kino’s Journey: the Beautiful World the Animated Series, the series is currently slated for a Fall 2017 premiere. A new key visual (drawn by original series illustrator Kuroboshi Kouhaku) was revealed, along with details on the main staff involved.

Directing is Taguchi Tomohisa, who directed Persona 4: The Golden Animation. Handling the script is Sugawara Yukie, who also worked on Sword Art Online and Irregular at Magic High School! Animation production has been left to Lerche, a company that has also animated for series like Danganronpa and Assassination Classroom.

For now, the only cast details we have is that Kino will be voiced by Yabusaki Aoi (Asui Tsuyu in My Hero Academia and Yuuki in Sword Art Online II). Hermes will be voiced by Saito Soma (Yamaguchi Tadashi in Haikyu!! and Gilmerton Yamagi in Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans).

Originally written by Sigsawa Keiichi as a light novel, Kino’s Journey has since printed over 8 million copies. It has also enjoyed an anime series back in 2003 along with two films since then.
