Himouto! Umaru-chan R will be airing this October, and in addition to some broadcast news, we’ve learned about the opening and ending themes! There's also a campaign on the official site to commemorate Umaru’s birthday on Sept. 26~
Himouto! Umaru-chan R is a TV anime based on the manga serialized in Weekly Young Jump by Sankaku Head. The series is a brother-sister comedy following Goma Umaru, a girl who seems to be gifted with both brains and beauty on the outside but is actually beyond lazy and dependent on her hardworking older brother Taihei. R is the 2nd season, and it includes many of the same staff as before including Ota Masahiko as director.
The series will begin airing on Oct. 8 on TOKYO MX, BS11, ABC Asahi, and AT-X. It’ll be streamable on Oct. 12.
As for the themes, the opening will be “Nimensei☆Uraomote Life!,” and will be sung by Doma Umaru’s voice actress Tanaka Aimi. The ending theme “Umarun Taisou” will also be sung by Umaru, as well as Ebina Nana (Kageyama Akari), Motoba Kirie (Shiraishi Haruka), and Tachibana Sylphynford (Furukawa Yurina) as the SisterS unit. The singles will go on sale on Nov. 15.
Sept. 26 also marks Umaru’s birthday, and a campaign is being held to fill the official site with everyone’s congratulatory messages! Details can be found on the day of the event on the official site and Twitter.
