The One Piece x teamLab collaborative project “Digital Art Island Adventure” ,which proved popular with visitors during its 2015 run at Odaiba Yume Tairiku, is set to hit original author Oda Eiichiro’s hometown of Kumamoto in April 2017.
Visitors can try out animating Chopper for themselves by coloring him in to be uploaded and displayed on the big screen. Touching Chopper will make him move and when the original event character Dr. Bolam appears, all the Choppers will come together to attack him!
The Choppers which visitors have colored in will also be available to purchase as unique paper craft models.
At the digital table visitors can also get up close with the tiny Tontatta Tribe! The Tontatta aren’t really aware that people are looking at them as they run around on the table, but you can interact with them by touching the table’s surface. Dr. Bolam will try to chase the Tontatta away when he appears, but you can help rescue them by using your hands or other objects on the table!
The One Piece x TeamLab “Digital Art Island Adventure” is scheduled to take place in Kumamoto from April 26 - May 7, 2017.
