Iwashita Corporation is a company that specializes in pickles and other nutritious snacks, and pickled young ginger is their flagship product. With its delicate pink color, Iwashita's Young Ginger (or shin shoga in Japanese) is definitely one of the cutest snacks we've seen, making it the perfect inspiration for a plushie.
Luckily for us fans of unique and adorable plushies, Iwashita Corporation has teamed up with Nagomi Style.Cafe Akiba to create a young ginger-colored alpaca plushie, Iwashita Young Ginger Alpaca Nagomi-chan! Nagomi-chan is available for purchase from Saturday, Feb. 25 at Iwashita Corporation's Iwashita Young Ginger Museum and at the Iwashita Young Ginger Museum Shop in Akihabara, located inside Nagomi Style.Cafe Akiba.
A limited number of this adorable plushie were available for purchase from March to June 2016 at the Iwashita Young Ginger x Nagomi Style.Cafe collaboration pop-up cafe. And as you can imagine, it sold out immediately! So many fans have been asking for another chance to get their hands on this pretty pink plushie that it's been re-released as Nagomi-chan.
Nagomi-chan will be available for purchase at the Akiba Daisuki! Festival 2017 Winter on Saturday, Feb. 25 and Sunday, Feb. 26, as well as on the Iwashita Corporation online shop!
