Miike Takashi’s live action take on JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is set to hit screens across Japan this summer, but meanwhile get ready for a splash of anticipation as this time the Nijimura brothers are brightening your screens in all new visuals featuring Okada Masaki and Maeda Mackenyu.
Okada will be playing the role of heartless older brother Keicho complete with the iconic long golden hairstyle as seen in the manga. Describing himself as a fan, Okada remarked that Keicho may be a cruel person but it’s a role he can believe in and that the daily preparation for Keicho’s unique look was a challenge but one he’s become used to.
Maeda is taking on the role of impulsive younger brother Okuyasu and has previously commented that it’s a character he really loves. In preparation for the role, Maeda has grown sideburns which he’s dyed silver and even recreated Okuyasu’s distinctive shaved eyebrows as you can see in this high-impact publicity shot.
The sun has come out in JoJo’s land, but you’ll just have to wait until the movie opens to see how these two fantastic actors inhabit the iconic roles of the Nijimura brothers!
